Before you start printing, you need locked-in references and quality files. Helldivers 2 is recent enough that the print file ecosystem is still growing — this article covers where to find references, what’s available to print, and how to evaluate Helldivers-specific files.

Building Your Reference Library

  • In-game screenshots: The armor preview in your armory is one of the best reference sources — you can rotate the model and screencap every angle.
  • Helldivers 2 Wiki / Fandom: Model images and armor set galleries with front/side/back views extracted from the game.
  • r/Helldivers subreddit Fashion Helldivers posts: Real players sharing armor combinations in-game. Useful for seeing how pieces look at full-body scale.
  • Pinterest: Helldivers 2 cosplay and reference boards are growing as the game matures. Search “Helldivers 2 cosplay reference” and “Helldivers armor breakdown.”

The Armor Piece List

A full Helldivers 2 build (using SC-30 Trailblazer as the reference) includes:

  • Helmet
  • Chest armor
  • Left shoulder, right shoulder
  • Left forearm/gauntlet, right forearm/gauntlet
  • Knee/shin guards
  • Optional: thigh plates, backpack frame

Props (separate from armor): stratagem book, stims canister(s), Liberator prop shell (optional but high-impact).

File Sources

Printables.com

The Helldivers 2 print file community on Printables is the most active community-driven source. Search “Helldivers 2 helmet,” “Helldivers 2 armor,” and the specific set name you’re building. Sort by Most Downloaded and check the community photos.

Growing Helldivers file presence. The ecosystem is earlier-stage than Halo or Mandalorian, so vet more carefully: look for real print photos, scaling guidance, and active creator engagement.

Props: Stratagem Book, Stims, and Liberator

  • Stratagem Book: Search Printables for “Helldivers 2 stratagem book” — several well-designed versions exist. Print the cover, insert page sections, paint, and add weathering.
  • Stims canister: Small, prints fast, high visibility. Make two or three and attach with small clips or magnets.
  • Liberator prop shell: Non-functional print of the gun body. Print in sections, assemble, paint heavily weathered. Check Printables for Helldivers 2 weapon props.

The Cape: Fabric vs. Print

  • Source pre-made: Military-style capes in olive or tan can be cut to the right proportions and weathered to match the armor.
  • Sew from scratch: A simple rectangular/tapered cape pattern in canvas or heavy cotton. Covered in the soft goods article.
