Lock down your references and files before a single print starts. Helldivers 2 is recent enough that the file ecosystem is still filling in. There’s enough out there to build a full suit. Here’s what’s available and how to find the good stuff.

Building Your Reference Library

  • In-game screenshots: The armor preview in your armory lets you rotate the model and screencap every angle. Use it obsessively before you commit to a build.
  • Helldivers 2 Wiki / Fandom: Model images and armor set galleries with front/side/back views extracted from the game.
  • r/Helldivers subreddit Fashion Helldivers posts: Real players sharing armor combinations in-game. Good for seeing how pieces scale at full body height.
  • Pinterest: Helldivers 2 cosplay and reference boards are growing as the game matures. Search “Helldivers 2 cosplay reference” and “Helldivers armor breakdown.”

The Armor Piece List

A full Helldivers 2 build (using SC-30 Trailblazer as the reference) includes:

  • Helmet
  • Chest armor
  • Left shoulder, right shoulder
  • Left forearm/gauntlet, right forearm/gauntlet
  • Knee/shin guards
  • Optional: thigh plates, backpack frame

Props (separate from armor): stratagem book, stims canister(s), Liberator prop shell (optional but high-impact).

File Sources

Printables.com

Printables has the most active community-driven Helldivers 2 file collection. Search by helmet name, armor set name, or just “Helldivers 2 armor.” Sort by Most Downloaded and read the comments. Community photos will tell you more than the listing description ever will.

Etsy

Helldivers files are on Etsy, but the catalog is thinner than Halo or Mandalorian. Vet harder: look for real print photos, explicit scaling notes, and a seller who responds to questions. Skip listings with only renders.

Props: Stratagem Book, Stims, and Liberator

  • Stratagem Book: Search Printables for “Helldivers 2 stratagem book.” Several solid versions exist. Print the cover and insert sections, paint, add weathering. It photographs incredibly well at cons.
  • Stims canister: Small, prints in an afternoon, instantly recognizable. Make two or three and mount them with small clips or magnets.
  • Liberator prop shell: Non-functional print of the gun body. Print in sections, assemble, paint with heavy weathering. Check Printables for Helldivers 2 weapon props.

The Cape: Fabric vs. Print

  • Source pre-made: Military-style capes in olive or tan can be cut to proportion and weathered to match the armor. Faster than sewing and usually cheaper.
  • Sew from scratch: A simple rectangular or tapered cape pattern in canvas or heavy cotton. Covered in the soft goods article.
