The Star Forge was born in 2024 when my wife convinced me we should go to OhayoCon – a medium-sized convention in central Ohio where we had first met in person about 4 years prior. I was already a fan of the Ohio Renaissance Festival, so a medieval Mandalorian seemed like the obvious choice for my first ever cosplay.

Fast forward a little over 2 years, and what initially started as a digital journal to track my journey of learning the skills necessary to build cosplays, and here we are today. With a community of over 10,000 amazing creators and artists, countless new friends, numerous new skills and nothing but excitement for the future. The Star Forge is one of the proudest accomplishments of my life, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for our community.
